Instructors

Tariq Musleh

Ustadh Tariq completed his memorization of Quran at the age of 13. He received two certifications in his memorization from America and Palestine. He has been teaching Quran privately with numerous students since his completion. He studied Classical Arabic at the Fajr Center for the Arabic Language, where he completed the text “Al-Arabiyatu Bayna Yadayk.” Ustadh Tariq now works as a part time instructor of Islamic Learning Foundation Chicago where he teaches Quran and Arabic studies. Ustadh Tariq is also a student at the University of Madina  in Madina-tul-Munawaara.

Faizan Mumtaz

Ustaadh Faizan has been actively working as a mentor for the youth of the Muslim community since the age of 15. He has served as the NeighborNet and SubRegional Coordinator, and Secretary General for Young Muslims, a national organization for the Muslim youth. He studied Classical Arabic at the Fajr Center for the Arabic Language, where he completed the text “Al-Arabiyatu Bayna Yadayk.” Ustadh Faizan has distinguished himself as a passionate khateeb and interactive speaker. He is also the full time Arabic and Islamic Studies teacher at Rockford IQRA School where he teaches grades 4-12.

Abdul Sattar Ahmed

Ustadh Abdul serves as the head of the Arabic department at Islamic Learning Foundation. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2006 with a dual-major in Finance and MIS after which he started his career in Technology and Finance sector in Chicago-land area. Before joining ILF’s team, Ust. Abdul Sattar was an active member of Young Muslims, ICNA's Youth Division, where he served YM for over 10 years in various roles at the local, regional, and national levels including the National YM Tarbiyyah Chair. Currently, he studies and teaches Arabic and the Islamic sciences part-time at different institutes. He is also a student of Imam Suhaib Webb and a regular author at www.suhaibwebb.com website.

Arif Hussain

Dr. Arif Hussain is one of the founding members of  Islamic Learning Foundation, ICNA's educational and research institute. His work has been focused on developing and teaching the Arabic and Islamic Studies program. Arif Hussain graduated from Benedictine University in with a major in Psychology. Before joining ILF,  Dr. Arif Hussain served various leadership roles for MSA and as the National Coordinator for Young Muslims. He currently resides in Villa Park with his wife.
